Job Description


Responsibilities:



  • Assist with financial reporting as needed, including organizing office finances in coordination with the General Manager.

  • Work with the purchasing department especially in negotiations with vendors and service providers in the most cost-effective manner.

  • Payment processing, matching requisition to invoices and LPOs, ensuring they are duly approved subject to approval limits.

  • Prepare Management reports and monthly budgets on time.

  • Managing petty cash and preparing bank and cash reconciliation statements

  • Ensuring all appropriate documentation for any cheque payments are adequately filed.

  • Prepare financial reports which are timely and accurate.

  • Respond promptly to stakeholder needs, and solicit stakeholder feedback to improve service quality.

  • Preparing accounts and tax returns.

  • Monitoring spending and budgets.

  • Auditing and analyzing financial performance.

  • Financial forecasting and risk analysis.

  • Advising on how to reduce cost and gain profits.

  • Ensure financial statements comply with the law and regulations.

  • Support other staff members as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager


Qualifications:



  • Diploma or degree in accounting or finance

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in professional Accounting in a fast-paced office setting.

  • Must have at least professional qualifications – CPA –K.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel & accounting packages.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Ability to work with confidential information.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous assignments, set priorities, and work independently.

  • Demonstrated experience with implementation and evaluation of programs is preferred

  • Strong and sustained commitment.

  • Pleasant demeanor.

  • Ethical conduct and Good judgment.

  • Responsible and strong desire for excellence.

  • Continuous learner and Team Player.

  • Compliance with policies and procedures.
