Job Description
Vacant Position: Accounts Assistant
Level: Junior Role
Location: Nairobi
Our client in the service Industry is seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant who has worked in the hospitality industry to join their team.
Job Purpose: The position holder will carry out the basic accounting duties and any other duties that may be assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing of cheques and cheque remittance advice, ensuring that all relevant documents are attached and duly approved, e.g., invoices, delivery notes, goods received notes (GRNs), credit notes, purchase order/ contracts, quotation analysis, quotations,
- Assist in generating invoices, posting payments, posting stocks and payroll in quick books.
- Preparing bank reconciliation from quick books.
- Posting budgets into quick books
- Manage the reports and see to it that they are accurate, to the point and made in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles or GAAP.
- Filing VAT, NSSF, NHIF and catering levy
- Prepare Financial reports in the interest of the clients
Qualification Experience and Skills
- Undergraduate degree in Business related field.
- CPA Section 4 and above
- 6 months to 1 years’ experience in accounting
- Hotel accounting experience
- Proficiency in Quick books
