Rattan Direct & Lifestyle Furniture is looking to hire an Accounts Assistant who has experience of working in a retail business, predominantly ecommerce.
You will need to be a team player and be eager to pitch in when required.
You will have a high attention to detail and be able to multitask. You need to have had exposure to Chinese imports, stock, and transactional cash reconciliation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Multiple bank account and credit card imports, posting and reconciliation ensuring all items fully reconciled for month end
- Posting supplier invoices for overheads and stock purchases
- Allocating payment to invoices and keeping the purchase ledger clean
- Setting up weekly supplier payment runs for UK suppliers
- Dealing with Chinese suppliers and setting up international payments in weekly payment run
Intercompany recharges and postings - Handling staff expense claims
- Completion of week KPI data
- Assist with year-end audits
- And any other duties assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
- Ideally experience of Xero accounts package
- Excellent Excel skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy are key
- Knowledge of UK GAAP and VAT rules
