Job Title: Credit Officer

Job Purpose: This position is responsible in Credit department for Alliance Finance Corporation Limited

Department: AFCL – Credit

Level / Band: L4 / L3

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the review and approval of commercial credit proposals, Credit assessment and credit worthiness of the customer


• Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process


• Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants’ credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.


• File Verification in terms of established credit guidelines, process and approval, maintain a good balance between returns and risks exposure,


• Review loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy


• Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products in order to better meet customers’ needs.


• Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them


• Market financial products to individuals and firms, promoting AFCL services that may meet customers’ needs


• Updating and Submitting monthly data to credit bureau as per banking regulations ,updating and preparing daily reports


• Ensure all regular monthly reporting is generated for management review

Desired Profile:

• Must have Credit management exposure


• Must have excellent communication and inter-personal skills


• Understanding of retail finance

Educational Qualifications:

• Commerce or Finance Graduate

Relevant years of Experience:

• Between 4-6 yrs of experience (overall)

Competencies:

• Relationship building


• Communication & Interpersonal skills


• Presentation skills.


• Credit management

Reports To: Credit Manager

Reportees: Back Office

Industry Preference: Bank / NBFC

Location: Nairobi

Age Limit: Above 30 yrs
