Our client a restaurant is currently looking to hire a Pastry Cook.
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage the pastry section of a kitchen, working together with the other cooks.
- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies etc. Following traditional and modern recipes.
- Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way.
- Ensure the bakery section of the kitchen adhere to health and safety regulations
- Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such flour, sugar etc. Make appropriate orders within budget.
- Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience as a Pastry Cook
- Reputable college training is a plus
- Right work attitude and flexible
- Strong social skills
- Should be a team player and willing to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
