Responsibilities

• History taking, examining, diagnosing, educating and treating patients’ common ailments at an outpatient or inpatient;


• Implementing Community Health Care activities in liaison with other health workers;
  Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health;and


• Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skill.

Qualifications

• Must be a Kenyan citizen.


• Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery or Clinical Medicine & Community Health from a recognized institution.


• Certificate of Registration from the Clinical Officers’ Council.


• Annual Retention Certificate.


• Evidence of proficiency and knowledge in computer applications.


• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya,2010.

N.B: Applicants are required to get clearance from the following institutions to meet requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya:

Kenya Revenue Authority
Higher Education Loans Board
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
Criminal Investigation Department
Credit Reference Bureau
