Appointment Type: Contract – 12 months, renewable
This is an early lodge career ideal for a 25 – 30-year-old professional.
Your role:
As a Business Development Executive, you will oversee activities that attract client patronage and maximum profit for Nguge Hills Lodge. The below responsibilities are highlighted.
• Financial and budget management as well as related administration
• Extensive guest interaction and hosting
• Menu planning in conjunction with Lodge Operations Executive and Head Chef.
• Quality control
• Build relationships with prospective clients
• Monitor the customer service quality of lodge
• Conduct assessment of sales performance
• Business development to grow visibility and revenue
• Events, sales, and marketing management
• Successfully promoting and managing the brand
• Working with advertising agencies
• Managing relationships with agencies and partners
About you:
To thrive as a Business Development Executive at Nguge Hills Lodge, you should have a passion for service and customer care. As a leader you will need discipline to take on tasks in “getting the job done”. You should be a system and detail-oriented person with a “roll up your sleeves” work ethic. The below requirements are highlighted.
• Must have a formal qualification in Hospitality Management and/or Business Management.
• Have 2-3 years’ work experience in management within luxury Lodges/ Safari Camps
• Have strong administration, finance, sales, and marketing experience.
• Proficient in MS Office, technology, and digital marketing
• Integrate into the conservation and development of the lodge
• A team player with flexible approach and happy to take the initiative
• Have exceptional communication skills
• Have a good sense of humor and positive attitude
• Comfortable working and communicating with diverse cultures
• Have fantastic presentation and negotiation skills
• Think creatively to come up with exciting new campaigns

• Competitive salary offer of KES 20 000 per month with commission based on sales.
