Appointment Type: Contract – 12 months, renewable


This is an early lodge career ideal for a 25 – 30-year-old professional.


 


Your role:


As a Business Development Executive, you will oversee activities that attract client patronage and maximum profit for Nguge Hills Lodge. The below responsibilities are highlighted.


             Financial and budget management as well as related administration


             Extensive guest interaction and hosting


             Menu planning in conjunction with Lodge Operations Executive and Head Chef.


             Quality control


             Build relationships with prospective clients


             Monitor the customer service quality of lodge


             Conduct assessment of sales performance


             Business development to grow visibility and revenue


             Events, sales, and marketing management


             Successfully promoting and managing the brand


             Working with advertising agencies


             Managing relationships with agencies and partners


 


 


About you:


To thrive as a Business Development Executive at Nguge Hills Lodge, you should have a passion for service and customer care. As a leader you will need discipline to take on tasks in “getting the job done”. You should be a system and detail-oriented person with a “roll up your sleeves” work ethic. The below requirements are highlighted.


             Must have a formal qualification in Hospitality Management and/or Business Management.


             Have 2-3 years’ work experience in management within luxury Lodges/ Safari Camps


             Have strong administration, finance, sales, and marketing experience.


             Proficient in MS Office, technology, and digital marketing


             Integrate into the conservation and development of the lodge


             A team player with flexible approach and happy to take the initiative


             Have exceptional communication skills


             Have a good sense of humor and positive attitude


             Comfortable working and communicating with diverse cultures


             Have fantastic presentation and negotiation skills


             Think creatively to come up with exciting new campaigns


 


Benefits:


             Competitive salary offer of KES 20 000 per month with commission based on sales.


             Accommodation provided but not meals (not suitable for children or pets)


             28 annual leave days
