CAD Technician Jobs vacancy in Kenya 2019
Job Title: CAD Technician
Grade: CT
Duties and Responsibilities
- Production of Roads and Water Engineering drawings
- Responsible for implementation and maintenance of drawing office standards
- Carry out detailing of roads and water engineering work including production of construction schedules.
- Customization of CAD software and standardization for drawings plotting.
- Carry out construction site supervision
- Coordinate the activities of the construction teams to ensure quality of work and timely delivery of projects.
- Undertake the checking of drawings and other deliverables prior to issue.
- Carry out Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC), implement and ensure Quality Management System (QMS) is implemented on projects.
- May be assigned the role of an Inspector of Works (IOW) and/or Clerk of Works (COW) on projects.
- Any other duties assigned.
Qualifications
Academic
- Minimum of “O” level academic qualification
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Required Experience
- Possession of relevant experience in roads and water projects and exposure to site work is an added advantage.
Relevant Skills
- Use of computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferably Ms Excel, Ms Word etc
- Possess expertise with recognised training in relevant engineering draughting software and applications such as AUTOCAD, CIVIL 3D, CADS RC, Revit etc. Proficiency in CIVIL 3D is mandatory
- People skills including interpersonal, organizational, communication and time management skills
- Ability to read and understand engineering designs, architectural and engineering drawings
- Must possess knowledge of building materials and basic knowledge of construction technology and methods.
- Sufficient experience in detailing of engineering works.
