Job Title: Cashier

Department: Retail Outlet

Location: Nairobi

Reports to: Assistant Branch Manager

PROFILE INTRODUCTION: Accountable for processing all Cash/Mpesa/Credit transactions accurately and efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures while focusing on achieving customer satisfaction and increasing revenue growth.

Key areas of responsibility

• Maintain cash float, issue receipts, refunds and change.


• Account for cash, cheques, credit card, Mpesa transactions and vouchers daily summary.


• Produce Daily Cashier Summary to account for day’s transactions.


• Facilitate the resolution of customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.


• Ensure filling of daily documents produced.


• Prepare daily banking slips for cheques collected during the day and separate deposit slips for those on account.


• Ensure customers are attended to promptly.


• Feed necessary details into the system, to keep the records updated at all times.


• Adhere to clean and presentable work area (Neat and orderly work station).


• Any other tasks as may be allocated from time to time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• A Diploma in management & CPA (K). A degree in finance will be an added advantage.


• At least 3 years’ work proven working experience in a front office in retail cashier or sales.


• Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with use of electronic equipment (Cash register, scanners and money counters).


• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.


• Should have a professional outlook.


• Resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
