Our client a busy in store restaurant is currently looking to hire a Chef to be based in Syokimau.
Responsibilities
- Preparation, presentation and display of meals
- Supervision and coordination of staff/casuals in production and ensuring quality
- Record production and operational data on specified forms.
- Costing of meals and ensuring costs are consistent
- Determining production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Ensuring customers are engaged and treated well
- Ensure cleanliness and neatness of work area at all times
- Estimating amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards and report any repairs needed to the Floor Supervisor
Qualifications
- Culinary school Diploma preferred
- At least 2+ years proven work experience as a Chef
- Leadership skills
- Excellent time management abilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
