Position Title: Security Officer – Construction Company

Reports to: Security Manager

Job Purpose: We are looking for highly organized candidates with good quantitative ability for the position of Assistant Security Manager.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Ensuring the security of all staff ,property and visitors


• Develop and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with best practice


• Advice management on matters relating to employee and property safety and security


• Develop an independent security intelligence system of information flow to enable detection and prevention of material and equipment theft at all sites


• Provide a security risk assessment


• Keep a daily log of deployed guards at each site during the day & night shifts


• Providing consultation and advice to other departments on various security matters


• Conducting security surveys with aim of improving overall company integrated security systems


• Regular Monitoring and observing all operations to detect irregular activities


• Assist the security manager with managing security operations across all sites


• Provide Ensure the Health, Safety & Security Managers are kept appraised of any key safety issues at the construction site.


• Provide clear leadership to development and construction teams at site in respect of the expectations of the project and its goals and objectives for construction security performance;

Key Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminology /Security Administration


• Recognized certifications in security field,


• Investigative skills


• Report writing


• Experience in the construction industry is a distinct advantage.


• Strong analytical, data gathering and analysis skills with a keen eye for detail


• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills


• Facilitation and training skills to groups with diverse levels of understanding


• Ability to investigate incidents, accidents and near misses.


• Risk assessment skills.


• Problem solving and conflict resolution skills


• Excellent coordination skills


• Can work under pressure


• Team player


• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in security field, and be able to operate a motorbike
