Job Summary
We are seeking to recruit Construction project Accountant to support our team for our development projects.
Responsibilities
- Request and collect invoices/pay applications from Consultants and General Contractors/Construction Managers
Track Payment Status
Track Contracts and Purchase Orders
Track Certificates of Insurance
Complete monthly financial statements for entities associated with construction projects
preparing General Ledger
Handle and process all aspects of construction payables, including coding, and maintenance of job cost
Coordinate the billing process with the project team
Properly collect and track all compliance items for vendors and subcontractors, including insurance requirements and all properly signed documents
Maintain accurate accounting file system
Prepare journal entries for corrections and reclassifications
Process contractor’s payment applications for monthly billing,
Perform month end account closing reconciliations including work in process (WIP) reconciliations
Monitor fixed asset activity in detail and maintain fixed asset schedules as directed.
Generate month end depreciation and amortization entries.
Perform other accounting and/or administrative tasks as needed to support the company Construction and Portfolio/Asset Management teams
Job Requirements
Required education: Diploma, Associate's degree
Required relevant work experience: 2 years
Required languages: English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
