Responsibilities of the Content Designer will include:

-          Designing professional, creative and diverse content for an array of social media platforms to meet the requirements of our clients’ brands;

-          Creating banners and display artwork for clients’ social media channels

-          Producing content using digital illustration, organic and stock photography;

-          Assisting the content team with new ideas for content and design;

-          Supporting with the optimisation of existing marketing materials and promotion of the agency’s own brand;

-          Working closely with the Senior Account Manager to ensure all content schedules are adhered to;

-          Working closely with the content team to meet all design briefs; and

-          Supporting the team with other design duties as and when required.

The successful candidate will have:

-          A qualification (bachelor’s degree or diploma) in design or a related field, or the equivalent professional experience;

-          At least three years’ design experience;

-          A strong design portfolio, to be presented in full at interview;

-          Strong working knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite;

-          Excellent written and oral communication skills (English);

-          Working knowledge of leading social media channels and their design requirements;

-          Ability to prioritise between tasks, plan ahead and work to deadlines;

-          Must be able to self-motivate and be willing to work flexibly depending on workload;

-          Experience of video creation or motion graphics is desirable but not essential;

-          Experience of web design is also desirable but not essential.

This job is full-time and the successful candidate will be expected to work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. They will be based in our new Nairobi office.

The starting salary for this position is negotiable depending on experience.
