Job Summary
Our client who is based in Karen is looking to recruit a Cook/Housekeeper. The successful candidate MUST have prior cooking experience in a home and must be experienced in cooking a variety of dishes.
- Minimum Qualification: Highschool
- Experience Level: Entry level
- Experience Length: 3 years
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals in private homes according to employers' recipes or tastes, handling all meals for the family and possibly for other household staff.
- Serve meals and snacks to employer’s family and their guests.
- Make a list of shopping for purchase each Monday morning.
- Plan and prepare food for parties, holiday meals, luncheons, special functions, and other social events.
- Cleaning rooms, making sure all nets don’t have holes and are put down in the evening and sprayed with doom.
- Ensuring that the Kid’s lunch for the next day is ready in the evening.
- Making sure that the kitchen is cleared, and dishes washed in the evening after dinner.
- Prepare school uniform and bags in the evening.
- Prepare dog food.
- Ensure that all breakfast items are ready every morning.
- Cleaning and maintenance of the main house and workshop
- Making sure lamps, paintings, windows, furniture are dusted, and plants are well watered.
- Perform housekeeping duties like ironing.
- Any other duties assigned to him at any time.
- Driving License will be an added advantage.
Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Certificate
- Must have a Cooking Course.
- Must be good at housekeeping duties like ironing.
- Must be creative and knowledgeable in menu creation.
- Flexible with time.
- Driving License will be an added advantage.
Monthly salary: KES 35,000 (Approx. 350USD) depending on skills and experience.
Job Category: Junior Level.
Education: High School Certificate.
Job Location: Karen, Nairobi.
