The Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) is an autonomous public institute that was established in May 1997 through a Legal Notice and commenced operations in June 1999. In January 2007,His Excellency the President signed the KIPPRA Bill into law and the KIPPRA Act No. 15 of 2006 commenced on 1st February 2007.The Institute is thus an autonomous Think Tank established under an Act of Parliament. Vision An international centre of excellence in public policy research and analysis Mission To provide quality public policy advice to the Government of Kenya by conducting objective research and analysis and through capacity building in order to contribute to the achievement of national development goalsReference HR/7/CS/2021/13

 


Qualifications


For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: 



  • Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized institution;

  • Master’s degree in Law;

  • Postgraduate Diploma from Kenya School of Law;

  • Minimum period of nine (9) years post admission in legal affairs, three of which in management;

  • Admitted as an Advocate of the High Court;

  • Member of the Law Society of Kenya and in good standing;

  • Member of Institute of Certified Secretaries;

  • Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution; Computer skills; and

  • Fulfil the requirements for Chapter six (6) of the Constitution.
