Job Requirements
Qualification
ACADEMIC
- BACHELOR- LAW (LLB)
- MASTERS- LAW (LLB)
- DIPLOMA Post Diploma in Law
EXPERIENCE
- Have a minimum of eight (8) years relevant work experience three (3) years should be in management;
- INTEGRITY Fulfil the requirements of Chapter of the Constitution
- PROF An Advocate of the High Court
SKILLS
- Be Proficient in computer application
- Strategic thinking;
- Analytical skills;
- Strong communication and reporting skills;
- Strong managerial skills and ability to lead teams;
- Mentoring, coaching and leadership skills;
- Team player
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills and
- Have attended management course lasting not less four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution; (vi) Proficiency in computer applications;
Job Responsibilities
Responsibility Description
1. Developing and implementing Regulations and guidelines to facilitate licensing of all legal programmes and legal education providers;
2. Developing and implementing criteria for recognition and approval of foreign qualifications in law;
3. Receiving and reviewing all applications for recognition, equation and licensing of foreign legal qualifications in Kenya and make recommendations to the Director;
4. Developing and implementing the criteria for licensing of institutions for remedial programme;
5. Developing and implementing criteria for licensing of institutions for new and emerging programmes in legal education and training;
6. Administering quality standards for approval for legal training providers; and
7. Coordinating under the guidance of the Director, the process of reviewing and processing applications for approval by training providers
