The Danish Refugee Council is an International Non-Governmental organization that promotes and supports durable solutions for displaced people all over the world.
The Danish Demining Group (DDG) is a Unit within Danish Refugee Council (DRC).
In Kenya, DOG works to improve safety, strengthen community resilience and build local capacity by taking a community-led approach to its work.
The DDG Kenya Program is seeking to recruit a qualified candidate for the below position:
Armed Violence Reduction (AVR) Coordinator
The Armed Violence Reduction Coordinator will lead the design of the Conflict Sensitive Development (CSD) work stream strategy and activities in the inception and implementation of DOG Kenya Program.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in International Relations, Programme Management, International Development, Conflict Resolution
- At least 4 years’ experience in project management and reporting, research and analysis
- Possess an understanding of the ever changing local landscape (including cross border dynamics) as relates to politics, conflict, peace and security are concerned
- Demonstrate conceptual and practical knowledge on Conflict Sensitive Development
