Dental Surgeon
The Mater Hospital is seeking to fill the above position. Reporting to the Director of Medical Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for;
- Carry out emergency dental procedures as well as attending to non-emergency procedures including composites, root canal therapy, crowns and bridges.
- Counseling patients on oral hygiene instruction and demonstrating techniques to achieve this.
- Liaising with Consultants on handling specialized cases in the provision of patients dental health care
- Review and developing appropriate policies and procedures for patient care to formulate best practice guidelines.
- Contribute and participate in continuous professional development and education in dentistry in the hospital.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery
- 3 years post internship
- Health Management Systems
- Keen on detail and high degree of accuracy
- Coaching counselling and mentoring skills
- Monitoring and evaluation skills
- Well informed on contemporary issues in medicine
- Display sensitivity to employee needs
