Job Summary
Our client, a well-established Steel Company in East and Central Africa dealing with design, fabrication and erection of all types structural steel works is looking for an experienced Draughtsman.
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor
- Experience Level: Mid level
- Experience Length: 5 years
Job Description
The ideal candidate Must have 5 -7 years’ experience in detailing, checking of fabrication drawings for structural steelwork for industrial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draught detailed fabrication and general assembly drawings.
- Use TEKLA to prepare fabrication drawing.
- Help design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques.
- Add details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques.
- Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers.
- Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products.
- Work under the supervision of engineers.
Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Engineering.
- Must have 5-7 years’ experience in detailing, checking of fabrication drawings for structural steelwork for industrial buildings.
- Must have experience using Autocad.
- Must have experience of working in a steel fabrication office.
- Knowledge of Tekla will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of structural drafting processes and procedures in a steel fabrication company.
- Be able to work with minimal supervision.
Monthly Gross Salary: Kshs. 100,000 – 120,000 (Approx. 800 – 1,200 USD) depending on individual skills and experience.
Career Level: Lower Mid-Level.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
Location: Nairobi, Kenya.
