Job Description
PURPOSE:
The driver trainer is responsible for providing classroom and on the road training to internal and client drivers on routine vehicle maintenance, vehicle operating & maneuvering techniques, product knowledge and safe vehicle operation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Train drivers on procedures of inspecting and operating all vehicle models
- Train clients and conduct field demonstrations with different vehicle models
- Conduct product training to customers and internal drivers
- Perform on-road tests and evaluate driver’s talent
- Drive car carriers & any other vehicle assigned by the supervisor
- Maintain & utilize databases of driver qualifications and training schedule
- Attend training sessions when required
- Plan and conduct refresher training for company drivers
- Follow-up with client drivers on new vehicle performance
Academic Qualifications
- High school certificate
- Driving qualifications for commercial & articulated vehicles
- ICT skills.
Experience
- 10 years experience in heavy commercial driving
Skills
- Good organization, coordination and report writing skills
- Good communication and computer literacy
- Customer service and public relations skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
