Job Summary
We are seeking a clinical officer who shall be in charge of diagnosing and treating patients’ ailments at an outpatient department
- Minimum Qualification: Diploma
- Experience Level: Entry level
- Experience Length: 3 years
Job Description
Duties And Responsibilities
- The officer will normally work under the guidance of an experienced Clinical Officer or Medical Officer.
- At this level work will involve seeing and examining patients;
- Diagnosing and treating patients’ ailments at an outpatient department in a Hospital or Health Centre.
- Assist in planning and conducting primary health care activities; and
- Giving support and health education to patients.
- Coaching students attached to hospitals and health centers
- Supervising and counseling a small count of staff engaged in routine patient’s care.
Minimum Requirements
- Be in possession of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade C with at least a C in Biology
- Have successfully completed at least 3 years pre-service training at Kenya Medical Training College or any other recognized Medical Training Institution and have been awarded a Diploma in Clinical Medicine or its equivalent; and
- Have been registered by the Clinical Officers Council and with a current practicing license.
Key Requirements
- Applicant must have no prior criminal conviction or pending criminal action.
- Applicants must be physically and medically fit.
- At least 5 years experience in the same field
