Environment County Chief Officer Job, Current County Government Jobs In Kenya,

Position: County Chief Officer (Environment, Natural Resources and sanitation)

Terms of service: Three (3) years

Job Description

Reporting to the respective County Executive Committee Member, the Officer will be the Accounting and Authorized Officer for the Department

Responsibilities

• General administration and coordination of the respective County


• Developing, implementing and reviewing of policies, Sector Plans and


• Overseeing management of Departmental resources, preparation of budget estimates, annual work plans

• Implementing and monitoring the Performance Management


• Building capacity of Departmental


• Organizing and coordinating consultative forums with


• Promoting National Values and Principles of Good Governance as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of


• Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Governor, Deputy Governor, respective County Executive Committee Member or the County Public Service Board from time to time.

Qualifications

• Be a Kenyan


• Be in possession of at least a first degree in a relevant field from a University recognized in


• Have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than five (5) years in a Senior Management position in Public Service or Private


• Demonstrate understanding of Devolved Governance and Kenya Vision


• Be a strategic and result oriented


• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership and


• Be computer literate


• Have knowledge and experience in Programme Based Budgeting, Planning and Financial


• A Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.

• A Higher Education Loans Board Clearance Certificate;


• A Valid Certificate of Good Conduct / Police clearance


• A Credit Reference Bureau Clearance Certificate from a recognized body;


• A Kenya Revenue Authority Clearance Certificate;
