Job Vacancy – Graphic Designer

Our client HDI Youth Marketeers is a marketing consulting company. HDI seeks to hire a Graphic Designer. Reporting to the Head of Design the Graphic Designer shall be responsible for visualizing and generating ideas, concepts and designs to create eye-catching communication in print and other media.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop design briefs that suit the client’s purpose

• Study design briefs and determine requirements


• Innovatively redefine a design brief to accommodate time and budget constraints


• Produce creative new ideas and concepts and develop interactive designs


• Prepare and present finalized ideas and concepts to the Head of Design or account manager in the absence of HoD


• Work with a range of media tools and techniques, including computer-aided design to create graphics


• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and incorporate such in graphic designing


• Proofread content to produce accurate and high-quality work


• Create illustrative product sketches and layouts for the client, and refine them to the final product


• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing tasks as and when required.

Qualifications

• A degree/diploma in Art and Design (Graphics option) or related field


• At least 1-year experience in demonstrable graphic and designing work


• Possess a creative flair and is versatile


• Possess great conceptual/visual ability and originality


• Highly competent in IT and in design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop and In-design. Web design and 3-D animations are an added advantage


• Highly proficient in all design aspects


• Remains up to date with leading and emerging software and design trends in the industry


• A fast learner, able to work without supervision and able to work within deadlines.
