Job Summary
The Farm Manager shall report to the Executive Director and shall have the primary responsibility for the planning, organisation, co-ordination and implementation of the farm operations.

Job Description
The Centre for Research and Technology Development [RESTECH] is an institution dedicated to policy linked research aimed at concentrating the scarce human, material and financial resources in selected policy relevant research programmes.
- Ensure that there is adequate human resource for the optimal operation of the farm.
- Supervision of farm workers to ensure productivity and adherence to set operational standards.
- Supervision of livestock breeding, animal nutrition, livestock records etc
- Supervision of crop planting, weeding, spraying, harvesting and storage.
- Timely procurement of farm supplies like seeds, fertilizer etc.
- Arranging for the regular maintenance of farm machinery and equipment.
- Monitoring of animal health and welfare including liaising with veterinary people.
- Application of set farm health and safety standards.
- Maintenance of proper farm financial and other records.
- Marketing of the farm produce.
- Coordination of educational visits by farmers and other stake holders.
- Diploma in Agriculture, Livestock production or agricultural economics from a recognized Institution. Those with extensive experience in animal production will have an added advantage.
- Must have at least three years relevant experience.
- Should be conversant with crop, horticultural, livestock, Dairy and poultry production.
- Must be abreast with latest and modern farming practices.
- Must be knowledgeable about local pests and diseases and how to counter the same.
- Must be prepared to work long hours.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
