Job Title: Finance Assistant

Terms: Contract

Client: Manufacturing

Job Purpose: This role is responsible for finance compliances in our client’s factory including accounting, reporting, fixed asset management & control.

S/he performs periodic statements and provides management with business data, design and maintain the controlling and reporting system.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support Computation of “intercompany prices” Annually and in Launch- relaunch projects through ensuring correct capturing of material prices and Master recipes.


• Support the Material Price planning process to enable accuracy in ICP Planning.


• Provide support and analysis on financial metrics/analytics like Variance and trend analysis, make up of specific costs and put in place systems to reduce the Variances.


• Support period end closing activities through ensuring costs are captured correctly in the month of expenditure, necessary provisions and accruals are considered.


• Monitor the inventory values to ensure accuracy, sense, and logic in the moving averages per NART


• Monitor Landed Cost of Imported materials and the analysis of the various drivers including and Freight duty and clearing costs, to minimize impact of Material Price Variances.


• Monitor Usage variances from materials consumptions which is Key in reducing COM through WOW agenda


• Provide Stock take leadership by ensuring monthly stock take at the PC is done in an effective manner to give reliable results that can be used to correct the ledger for accurate Stock Valuation


• Follow up on outstanding Invoices on a monthly basis to ensure the invoices are not time barred for VAT claims and consumption of accruals on time.


• Ensuring the right internal controls are in place with regards to the factory operations to enable accuracy in the monthly Financial reports.

Qualifications and Skills

• A graduate degree in finance/Accounting/Economics, Certified Public Accountant Intermediate Level /Chartered Accountant Level II


• Candidate having at least 1-year experience covering area of Accounting, factory control & SAP will be an added advantage


• Ability to work with cross functional department and to convince people and knowledge transfer


• Sharp analytical skills, keen to details & an excellent communicator


• Excellent MS-Office skills (especially advanced knowledge of excel)
