Job Title: Van Sales Representative – FMCG

Reports to: Sales Manager- General Trade

Client: Water Distribution Company

Location: Nairobi

Gross Salary: KES. 30,000 – 40,000.

Our client is among the leading quality bottled water brands in Kenya with an established presence in the market.

Sales Representative Job Purpose

You will manage sales of the company’s products while ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Managing daily route plans and customer calls.


• Forecast sales accurately in line with the organization’s plan.


• To identify and map out sales areas and conduct sales demos.


• Maintaining sales and delivery records, as well as meeting sales targets.


• Increasing sales by promoting products and analyzing competitor behavior.


• Identifying opportunities and negotiating for incremental business and revenues.


• Coordinating collection and remittance of sales revenue within the approved terms of trade or credit limit across all sales channels.


• Delivering customer service through relationship management and resolving customer claims.


• Determining and coordinating of territory reporting and communication requirements to HQ.


• Manage institutional, key accounts, contracts and the general trade sales and resellers within the assigned Territory/Region.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service.


• Must have a valid driver’s license.


• Consistent track record of achieving sales targets.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Great negotiation skills & good relationship building skills.


• Diploma/Bachelors’ in sales and marketing or a related field.


• 2-3 years of experience in FMCG industry preferably having sold water.
