Job Description
REPORTING TO THE HEAD OF MARKETING
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- This role is responsible for creating visual communications to convey messages in an effective and aesthetically pleasing manner. The role will also be
- responsible for the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics, logos, layout and photos.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design graphics for use in media products such as magazines, labels, advertising and signage for our brands
- Study the design briefs and create engaging graphics out of it; design web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports,
- advertisements and other communication materials
- Meet with brand owners to gain an understanding of what they want their proposed communications to look like
- Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications
- Create these materials by hand or using technology and computer software programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and more
- Determine size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material as well as font style and size
- Produce drafts for review by clients and make revisions based on the feedback received
- Review final productions for errors and ensure that final prints reflect client specifications
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a relevant field from a recognized institution
EXPERIENCE
2 years’ experience in graphic design work
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo editing software
- Exceptional creativity and innovation
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Professional approach to time deadline
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated team skills
