The High Commission of Canada to Kenya is hiring two indeterminate Handymen.
The Handymen will be responsible for general indoor maintenance and upkeep of mission grounds.
Qualifications
Language: Proficiency ‘n English — (reading, writing, comprehension and speaking)
Education: Completion of secondary school AND technical or professional certification (1-year certification) in Carpentry and Joinery: Masonry: or Plumbing
OR
Completion of secondary school AND National Grade Test I: Grade Test II: or Grade Test III from National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) in Carpentry and Joinery: Masonry or Plumbing
Experience:
- Recent experience* in a position where the main tasks include repairs and general maintenance of residences
OR
- Recent experience* in carpentry, plumbing, welding or related field
* Recent experience means three years of experience within the past five years.
