Job Description
Job Vacancy: Head of Internal Auditor
Reporting to: Operations Director
Job Location: Nairobi
Description: The Head of Internal Auditor is responsible for keeping their employer accountable regarding internal company procedures and industry rules.
Their duties include preparing compliance reports and supervising company workflows.
Responsibilities
- Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
- Obtain, analyze and evaluate current reports, previous report and data.
- Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process
- Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
- Maintain open communication with management
- Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions
- Any other tasks and duties as may be assigned

Experience
- Degree business administration or any relevant field
- At least 3 years of work experience as an Internal Auditor or a similar position
- Excellent attention to detail to review large amounts of data and numbers
- Exceptional mathematical skills to verify entries
- Good critical-thinking skills to gather all of the available data and make informed decisions
- Excellent research skills to find all related information needed
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
