Job Summary

Job Description
- Establish and implement best strategy for warehousing and distribution network
- Establish strong logistics and inventory planning to facilitate positive business change. Be a creative and effective strategic planner and problem solver at all times
- Develop forecasting intelligence for projection & stockholding requirements
- Align, plan & implement customer requirements across all departments.
- Establish long-term relationships with useful contacts such as panel beaters, small fleet owners, spare shops and garages
- Monitor & report on KPI’s, including Order, Delivery, On Time Reliability & OTIF
- Responsible for Monthly Report: Overstock Cash flow Summary, Stock Turns & Slow & Non-moving Stock
- Initiate and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Drive cost savings through best practices
- Take corrective action where required to ensure all operations run smoothly
- Identify, develop, mentor and coach talented employees
- Prepare and manage annual operating budget
- Responsible for and report on all operational activities during monthly board & review meetings
- Supply Chain Projects including:
- Systems project:
- Aligning system capability with operational requirements
- IT continuous improvement
- SOP – draft SOP’s & training material for Supply Chain Services
- Training – give training on new SOP to all staff concerned
- Reporting – Design new reports & work with IT to implement
- Minimum 7 years related working experience within a trading organisation
- In-depth experience with ERP systems
- Ability to build good working relationship and partnership with business, partners and suppliers
- Highly people oriented with proven knowledge of organizational dynamics and strong people management skills.
