Minimum 7 years’ experience as Head of Sales and Marketing in a FMCG Company
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Head of Sales & Marketing will be reporting to the Managing Director . He or She will be responsible for managing and supporting Company products route to market partners and staff within East African region by managing the sales and distribution activities of the Company & related brands
- Identify competitor’s activities, develops and implements response tactics effectively
- Design and implement the national sales Strategy in line with the overall business strategy.
- Coordinate Sales, Marketing and distribution activities nationally.
- Develop, Manage and motivate staff assigned to the sales, marketing & distribution roles in the region.
- Supports the front line staff in building strong relationships with each customer by:
- Identifying business growth opportunities – (master of execution and brings a different perspective to identify opportunities sales staff may have missed)
- Solving problems and removing obstacles for respective region
- Developing productive long-term relationships with our trade partners
- Being an ambassador of our brands
- Continuously monitors performance through analyzing weekly/ monthly/ quarterly reports for management consumption.
- Identifies competitor activities and develops and implements response tactics.
- Allocates execution resources e.g. promotional materials for maximum returns
- Promotions – ensures effective implementation/execution customer promotions.
- Master coaching to drive brilliant execution against set standards
