Job Title: Human Resource Assistant

Reports To: Human Resource Manager

Location: Nairobi

Age: 25 – 32 years

We are seeking an individual who is dynamic and passionate about delivering results to join our Human
Resource team.

Job Summary: To develop strategies relating to all HR policies, procedures and quality standards to ensure continuous
improvement and regulatory compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities

a) Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.

b) Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.

c) Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, assisting in the interview process, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.

d) Maintain calendars of the HR management team.

e) Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.

f) Coordinate training sessions and seminars.

g) Assist to execute employee orientation and update records.

h) Assist in updating job requirements and descriptions for all positions

i) Assist in updating and maintain company policies and procedures

j) Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.

k) Assist to arrange and schedule for all employee travel logistics and accommodation.

l) Assist to handle all in-coming and out-going company communication.

m) Supervise the administration operations with respect to cleanliness, procurement etc.

n) Ensure efficient use of company assets and resources and their security

o) Ensure timely reports on incidences within the company

p) Provide administrative support where needed

q) Perform any other duties assigned by the Management from time to time.

Person Specification

• 3-5 years working experience 2 of which should be in a similar role.


• Experience managing a chain of diverse employees will be an added advantage.


• Knowledge of the Kenyan Labour laws.

The candidate will be expected to:

i) Perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure,

ii) Accept responsibility for and in teams,

iii) Relate to others in a manner that creates a sense of teamwork and co-operation,

iv) Maintain effective communication with colleagues, both junior and senior,

v) Respond appropriately to environmental and safety hazards and function effectively in emergency situations,

vi) Utilize company systems effectively to ensure economical use of equipment and supply

vii) Be creative and innovative in minimizing costs,
