Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
- Analyzing utilization of the human resource in the Council and advising on proper deployment, staff performance, career.
- Making appropriate recommendations and proposals on human resource planning and succession management.
- Coordinating work environment and employee satisfaction surveys.
- Implementing human resource management policies, regulations, procedures, and systems.
- Preparing various human resource reports.
- Implementing human resource decisions within existing rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Authenticating payroll and complement control data.
- Implementing workplace health and safety policies.
- Complying with human resource statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Collecting and collating information to inform human resource policies in the organization.
- Implementing employee satisfaction and work environment survey recommendations.
- Developing training projections and plans.
- Organizing training programs.
Requirements for Appointment:
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Served in the grade of Senior Human Resource Assistant Officer for at least three (3) years in the public service or in a reputable organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource Management/Development/Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/Government, Anthropology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Membership to a IHRM or any other relevant professional body with a valid practicing certificate.
- A certificate in computer proficiency from a recognized institution.
