CONTEXT AND RATIONALE
About SOS Children’s Villages
SOS Children’s Villages is a global federation of 118 national SOS Children’s Villages associations, working in more than 2000 programme locations worldwide.
We work together with a single vision: every child belongs to a family and grows with love, respect and security.
SOS Children’s Villages Kenya is a non-governmental social development organisation that has been active in the field of children’s rights and committed to children’s needs and concerns since 1973. In Kenya there are 5 Children’s Villages in Nairobi (1973), Mombasa (1979), Eldoret (1990), Meru (2005) and Kisumu (2012).
Other programs include Advocacy, Education (5 ECD Centres, 4 SOS Hermann Gmeiner schools and 1 SOS Technical Training Institute), Youth empowerment, Health (2 Medical Centres). SOS Children’s Villages Kenya also runs a Family Strengthening Programs (FSP) in 5 locations namely Mombasa, Nairobi, Eldoret, Suba and Busia.
Overall objective of the Assignment
In order to comply with provisions and requirements of the OSHA ACT 2007, SOS CV KENYA would like to conduct OSHA statutory compliance audits i.e. safety and health audits, risk assessment and fire safety audits in all SOS CV Kenya locations and offices in Nairobi, Mombasa, Meru, Eldoret, Kisumu, Suba and Busia.
INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS
The bidders are welcome to submit their proposal for this OSHA Audit as described in this RFP.
This bid is open to all Kenya based independent consultants or registered firms.
The bidder shall bear all costs of the bid; costs of preparing and submitting a proposal cannot be included as a direct cost of the assignment.
The proposal and all supplementary documents have to be submitted in English.
Financial bid needs to be stated in Kenya Shillings
Process of Submission of Bids
Proposals should be submitted in one hard copy and one soft copy by email in pdf format as follows:
For email submission, the submission duly stamped and signed can be done electronically in single PDF format and sent to National Office Procurement email Nationaloffice.procurement@soskenya.org with the Subject line ‘’PROPOSAL FOR OSHA AUDIT 2021’’.
For hard copy submission, proposals should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked ‘’PROPOSAL FOR OSHA AUDIT 2021 ’’ and dropped into the Tender Box located at SOS CV KE National Office; Gate 7, Marcus Garvey Road, Off Argwings Kodhek, Hurlingham, P.O. Box 40653-00100, Nairobi, Kenya.
Documents to submit
Please submit all documents as described and requested for in the evaluation procedure under section 3 below.
Deadline for submission
The proposal has to be received on or before 18th June, 2021,at 1600 hrs.
Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.
Modification and withdrawal of bids
Proposals may be withdrawn on written request prior to the closing date of this invitation. Any corrections or changes must be received prior to the closing date. Changes must be clearly stated in comparison with the original proposal. Failure to do so will be at bidder’s own risk and disadvantage.
Signing of the contract
SOS Children’s Villages Kenya will inform the successful bidder who shall sign a contract. After the contract is signed by both parties, the successful bidder shall deliver the services in accordance with the agreed delivery schedule.
Rights of SOS Children’s Villages
- contact any or all references supplied by the bidder(s);
- request additional supporting or supplementary data (from the bidder(s));
- arrange interviews with the bidder(s);
- reject any or all proposals submitted;
- accept any proposals in whole or in part;
- negotiate with the service provider(s) who has/have attained the best rating/ranking, i.e. the one(s) providing the overall best value proposal(s);
- contract any number of candidates as required to achieve the overall assignment objectives
