Job Title: Solutions Support Engineer – IT

Job Location: Nairobi

Our client is one of the leading IT solutions providers.

They seek to hire a Solutions Support Engineer who will be responsible for the IT solutions behind all imaging products, deploying and training CCL customers and end users on the same and implementation, configuration and maintenance of the hardware & software.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and document customer requirements project plans and with timelines.


• Deploy all imaging machines at customer location


• Analyze customer network and advise the CCL business on the favorable solution


• Advise the customer on available solutions as per their requirements


• Create a project plan for every upcoming project and share with the relevant business representatives


• Ensure the solution projects are correctly and completely delivered, configured, tested and commissioned training and signoff


• Stay up to date on the latest versions of all the software supported with release notes documentation confirming the same


• Testing of all software and firmware updates and patches sent by manufacturers


• Install, configure, and maintain software for the devices regularly


• Test software solutions to the customers’ specifications, extend functionality of the software by consuming any software API’s within the stipulated timelines of project plan.


• Maintain a comprehensive and up to date knowledge of all solutions offered in Office Automation


• Maintains key liaison with key stakeholders within the company in relation to sales support matters


• Establishes and maintains business relationships with all clients in market area to foster sales and ensure client satisfaction and value addition’s


• Maintains close contact with manufacturers for trainings, guidance, bug reporting, receiving patches & updates and sending back testing reports.


• Closely interacts with Projects Managers/IT managers at client sites during kick off meetings, implementation and delivery and hand over the necessary documentation to the account manager for submission and payments.


• Closely interacts with the Business Head, Technicians and Account Managers during Demos and while delivering trainings and support.


• Interacts with third party developers with necessary API’s for project implementation while providing guidance and trainings, integration, delivery and maintenance to the end user.


• Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Degree in an IT related field


• Technical expertise in OA devices


• Professional Qualification in database software, software development & programming and/or server administration a bonus


• Knowledge of operating systems


• Windows Server 2012 and above


• Windows XP,7,8,10


• Conversant with Linux


• Conversant with various database solutions


• Knowledge of web services


• Conversant with networking especially TCP/IP, sockets, Ethernet LAN


• Knowledge of certificate based security: TLS, SSL
