Logistics Manager Job, Logistics Kenya Jobs 2022, 

Reporting to: Head of Supply chain

Location: Nairobi

Description: The major role of the Logistics Manager is to manage the entire order cycle so as it helps boost the business development process by managing, organizing and monitoring the storage and distribution of goods.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategy for streamlining process and cost reduction


• Develop, implement and manage a fleet management System


• Establish Situational Procedures for Possible Problems and Scenarios


• Coordinate with the concerned people directly and optimize the entire order cycle


• Manage and strategically plan the logistics, transportation, warehouse and customer support operations


• Keep track of quantity, quality, delivery times, stock levels, efficiency and incurred transportation costs


• Comply with the regulations, laws and ISO standards


• Hire talented candidates for our company


• Order new vehicle items as required


• Check that all vehicles on site are maintained to a good standard.


• Keep in touch with drivers to ensure efficient deliveries.


• License renewals for all vehicles


• Book inspections for company vehicles


• Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting and surveying current user trends.


• Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately


• Any other tasks and duties as may be assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in in Logistics, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management


• Proven 3+ Year work experience as a Logistics Manager or similar role in Logistics industry


• Exceptional knowledge of logistics and supply chain management


• Ability to handle multiple projects independently


• Outstanding problem solving, analytical and organizational skills


• Proficiency in standard logistic programs


• Keep track of distribution and logistics management effectively


• Excellent customer service skills
