Job Title: Junior Software Engineer

Reports To: Full Stack Developer

Location: Nairobi

Job Description:

• AXIS is an integrated payment processing and communication platform for businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibility: You will be involved in the development of the Axis messaging and payment platform

• Must be able and willing to collaborate in a team/cooperative environment as well as exercise independent judgment and initiative.

• Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures.

Knowledge; Skills and Experience required for this Role

• 3+ years experience developing web applications


• 2+ years experience building frontend applications in Angular, TypeScript.


• Experience with Docker


• Experience with Kafka for message queuing and streaming and NoSQL Databases such as MongoDb, Redis and Cassandra


• Good knowledge of cloud computing: AWS, Digital Ocean


• In Depth understanding of Javascript/Typescript ( Express, NestJs)


• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field


• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, LESS, SASS, and Javascript.


• Experience with CI/CD


• Experience with OAuth and JWT Tokens
