Kobby has its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, with operations spreading across the Eastern African region with a presence in Somalia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.


We have expanded our technical expertise to closely meet the needs of our customers.


As part of our CSR efforts, the company has put together a Graduate Trainee Program to equip recent graduates with soft, technical skills, experience and certifications required to begin a career as a consultant in Microsoft, Oracle, or any other technology from our solutions portfolio.


This program shall run for a period of 9 months with the first 3 months involving intensive classroom sessions and self-study materials.


This shall culminate in an assessment upon which successful trainees shall be introduced to a host of practical challenges in client environments where they will be expected to offer solutions under the guidance of supervisors.


A stipend shall be provided to enable our trainees have an equal chance to train effectively. At the end of the program, exceptional trainees shall be retained.


Therefore, we are inviting applications for Graduate Trainees in the following roles:


1. Application Functional Consultants Focused on the delivery and implementation of our ERP solutions (Financials, HRMS and Supply Chain Management modules) to clients: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Oracle E-Business Suite.


2. Application Technical Consultants / Developers – Works closely with Functional Consultants and writes code to provide technical solutions in complex operational environments.


3. Oracle Database Administrators – Support the development and production environments of our clients’ Oracle EBS and Core instances in 24/7 basis.


4. Infra & Cloud Support Engineers – Implement and support cloud solutions, hardware, and networks. Once successful, you will maintain reliable operations of the production, test, and development environments for applications and infrastructure.


You will ensure compliance to policies and standards. You will collaborate with delivery teams to manage the performance of applications in the production environments.


General requirements from applicants:



  • Legal right to work in Kenya

  • Currently unemployed or employed in a part-time/non-permanent role not related to career aspirations

  • Graduated within the last 2 years

  • Though no level of experience is needed ideas from previous IT attachments in Kenya remain an advantage

  • Keen interest in starting an Oracle/Microsoft related career involving travel

  • Good communication skills

  • Availability for 9 months.

  • Trainees are required to come with their own laptops (at least 8GB of RAM).


Role Specific Requirements:


Application Functional Consultants (16 Vacancies)



  • At least a bachelor’s degree in IT, project management or business related with second class upper division or above.

  • Keen interest in starting an Oracle/Microsoft related career involving travel

  • Fluent in English; written and spoken

  • Knowledge of accounting, HR and/or supply chain business processes

  • Knowledge or certification in project management is a plus.

  • Organized with excellent documentation skills (starting from the presentation of your application).


Application Technical Consultants / Developers (8 Vacancies)



  • Minimum of a Diploma in IT or related.

  • Ability to turn a business requirement into a working application or modification.

  • Candidates who can demonstrate software development knowledge (object-oriented programming, HTML and Java Script with attention to user experience) will have a distinct advantage.

  • Knowledge of PL/SQL, AL, C/AL or C/SIDE is desirable.


Oracle Database Administrators (4 Vacancies)



  • Minimum of a Diploma in IT, Oracle Database or related.

  • Knowledge of basic SQL and UNIX/LINUX commands


Infra & Cloud Support Engineers (4 Vacancies)



  • Minimum of a Diploma in IT or related.

  • Knowledge of Office 365 and Microsoft Azure

  • Knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure

  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
