20. Laboratory Technologist II JG CPSB 10 (1 POST) REF/MCPSB/364/2022
Terms: Permanent/Contract
Take responsibility for effective management of the laboratory equipment, chemical store and laboratory.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:
i. Carry out tests of Micro-biological and chemical analysis in the factory.
ii. Planning for acquisitions of chemicals and other equipment required in the laboratory.
iii. To ensure that the equipment are properly maintained.
iv. To advice the Managing Director on measures to ensure food quality standards are met.
v. And any other duties assigned by the Managing Director from time to time in line of duty.

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
i. Diploma in Laboratory Technology or its equivalent from a recognized training institution.
ii. Three (3) years working experience in Food-based Factory.
iii. Been able to carry out Micro-biological tests, chemical tests analysis, etc.
iv. Knowledge on safety procedure standards.
v. Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.

2. Hand delivered applications should be dropped at the offices of the Migori County Public Service Board located at Nyamome along Namba – Masara road adjacent to Nyamome SDA church.
3. All applications should reach the Secretary/CEO Migori County Public Service Board on or before Thursday 31st March, 2022 at 5:00pm.
4. Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original identity cards, academic and professional certificates and testimonials.
5. For candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, applicants must obtain the following clearances:
• Tax compliance certificate from KRA
• Clearance certificate from HELB
• Clearance certificate from Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC)
• Certificate of good conduct from Criminal Investigation Department
