Job Title: Logistics Officer – Manufacturing

Our client is a worldwide leader in the manufacture and supply of drainage technology.

They seek to hire an experienced logistics officer who will be responsible for managing the logistics of the branch.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations


• Monitor cargo movement processes


• Work with an in-house sales team to improve the processing of customers’ orders.


• Placing purchase orders and coordinating the logistics with suppliers


• Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively


• Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures


• Coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements


• Supervise orders and arrange stocking of materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs


• Preparing paperwork for regulatory bodies


• Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction


• Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements


• Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.


• Prepare accurate reports for upper management


• Preparing paperwork for regulatory bodies


• Monitoring stock and managing waste

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors’ degree in business administration, supply chain management or other relevant fields.


• 5 years’ work experience as logistics coordinator


• Experience in customer service will be appreciated


• Knowledge of laws, regulations, SGS procedures


• Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)


• Knowledge of Pastel, MS Office package
