Job Title: Market Research Consultant (Short Term Contract)

Reports to: Director

Description of the Company: This is a large-scale chicken farm based in Embu, who produce about 20,000 eggs and slaughter about 100kg of Chicken meat in a day.

They are looking to expand their business and produce about 30,000 eggs and slaughter 20,000kg of chicken in a day.

The farm has an infrastructure to produce 100,000 eggs and 10,000kg of Chicken meat in a day.

They are currently looking for a Marketing Research Consultant, who can mine data on demand, consumption patterns, buyers, exporters, large scale consumers and future growth of the industry. We need a scientific analysis that would give the client future pointers and market.

Duties and Responsibilities;

• Collect data on consumers, competitors and market place and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations.


• Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences.


• Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it.


• Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis.


• Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations.


• Use online market research and catalogue findings to databases.


• Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation.


• Evaluate program methodology and key data to ensure that data on the releases are accurate and the angle of the release is correct.


• Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties researches and implement best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven experience as marketing survey consultant.


• Knowledge of data analysis and market research especially on Chicken farming.


• Demonstrated experience as marketing consultant or similar role.


• In-depth knowledge of marketing principles and best practices.


• Analytical thinking.


• Must have mathematical skills.


• Excellent computer skills.


• Must have good verbal and written skills.
