Position: Marketing Assistant

Reports to: Country Manager

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Industry: Micro Finance

Our client is a fast-growing financial technology company that offers a “Touch and Tech” approach direct to retail consumers and they are currently operating in Zambia, Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa and Nairobi- Kenya.

They deliver personal lending products from physical branch and digital channels, utilizing internally generated software and lending products backed by IT and data analytics teams based in South Africa.

They are seeking to hire Marketing Assistant whose credentials matches the following conditions.

Duties and key responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be a passionate people person with an outgoing personality.

We are looking for someone that will actively build relationships with clients to market our products and will be required to relentlessly engage with customers via a combination of branch visits, networking events, cold calling and flyer distribution.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

1) Marketing activities

a. Implement and drive relationship building with customers through the distribution of flyers, running corporate seminars and telephonic engagement
b. Run and manage public networking events and giveaways
c. Work closely with operations to assist in the rollout of client acquisition initiatives

2) Other

a. Work with the head of marketing team to implement and perfect our branding both in store and internally.
b. Assist in making the company a fun and dynamic place to work

Job Requirements

• 4+ years’ work experience in a people facing marketing or advertising role.


• Experience in event management preferable but not imperative.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Marketing/Business Management.
