Job Description
Job Vacancy: Mason
Job Location: Nairobi
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, and repair a variety of masonry structures such as walls, steps, walkways, concrete pads, floors, curbs, exterior and interior surfaces/coatings.
- Determines work requirements and sequence of masonry/tile assignments through review of work orders, plans, or drawings
- Performs other general building maintenance works as needed.
- Assist in building layout, framing, sheathing, and roofing structures.
- Use equipment and tools to safely perform basic construction tasks
- Ensuring that surfaces are well-prepared before beginning a job
- Making sure all expansion joints are filled with appropriate caulking materials
- Ensuring that surfaces are cleaned and polished with the necessary hand or power tools
Job Qualifications
- High school/ artisan certificate or equivalent.
- 3 years’ experience in Masonry field
- Knowledge of related tools, masonry techniques, equipment and materials.
- Skill in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of masonry structures and surfaces
- Knowledge of all the applicable health and safety standards.
- Solid communication skills.
- Good balance and physical strength
