Job Vacancy: Mechanical Lubes Promoter


Location: Nairobi

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Manage & profitably grow the Key Accounts Lubes business to achieve agreed sales revenue, volume & margins in accordance with the Sales Plan.

  • To coordinate the strategic Key Accounts Lubes optimization plans as per the Channel Strategy and Lubes Business plans.

  • To focus on sell-in and sell-out relationships and activities to support Third Party Lubes Business and co-ordinate roll out of marketing plans. Assess, manage, and drive our buyer and vendor relationships to ensure we’ve got the right level of service to support the growing needs.

  • Build relationships with Lubes Key Accounts (TKEN & Third Parties) and work with them to achieve sales results.

  • Constantly collect, collate and advice management on lubes market intelligence data in form of price surveys and competitor activity surveys.

  • Collect lubes orders from Customers as per the Lubes Monthly plan. ·

  • Coordinate orders with Customer Service and Operations to ensure on-time deliveries to customers and in full quantities orders.

  • Follow up with CS and Operations team on the order fulfilment report, picking up any undelivered items and follow up with relevant departments.

  • Assist in preparation and ensuring approval of Lubes business support documents that include CVs, Billing Forms, and other customer documents.

  • Prepare Lubes business support proposals; follow up for approval and subsequent implementation.

  • Track performance of all Key Accounts lubes incentives through the incentives log

  • Prepare Lubes monthly provisions and follow up for approval and submission to Finance department within stipulated timelines.

  • Scout for more Third-Party Lubes offsite opportunities and follow up for closure with the relevant Territory Manager.

  • Conduct trainings for Toyota Authorized Service Outlets in relation to lubes business.

  • Conduct customer trainings targeting influential customer groups such as mechanics, operators etc.

  • Develop Specific sell-out and promotions and be actively involved in rollout of any activations and promotions.

  • Custodian of the Lubes Road Map with respect to the Key Accounts Channel.


Qualifications and Experience



  • Must have an Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the mechanical Lubes industry.

  • Must have worked before in oil and gas industry as sales personnel

  • Ability to reconcile customer accounts.

  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with staff & customers at all levels.

  • Computer skills M/S OFFICE.

  • Self-motivated – desirable quality.

  • Business Travels may be frequent.

  • Knowledge in Lubrication Technology, Other (Marketing and Data Analysis qualifications).
