Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Our client is a world class producer of dairy Brands.

They seek to hire a Mechanical Technician tasked with performing maintenance services of plant machineries; including installation, inspection, repairing, and testing of the equipment(s).

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance and repairing of all company’s equipment and machines including lubrication of the equipment(s).


• Conduct inspections on machines for quality control and assurance programs, reporting findings and recommendations.


• Assemble, testing of mechanical apparatuses and machines


• Inspect mechanical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the needs for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.


• Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.


• Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.


• Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records.


• Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.


• Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.


• Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.


• Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Option or its equivalent from recognized college


• KCSE Certificate – C plain


• Practical technical experience in a busy food manufacturing set up for at least two years. Experience in the dairy industry will be an added advantage.


• Knowledge of programmable logic controller (PLC) or Autocad will be an added advantage


• Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and manual dexterity.
