Quantity Surveyor Jobs 2021,

ONE (1) POSITION – VACANCY NO. 3/2021/11,

Basic salary scale: Ksh.38,270 – Ksh.51,170 p.m. (Job Group ‘K’),

Allowances as per the SRC circulars attached to the position,

Terms of service: three (3) years contract (renewable subject to satisfactory performance),

Qualifications

For appointment to this position, a candidate must:

• Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Building Economics/Quantity Surveying or its equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution; and


• Have been registered as a Graduate member of either the Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) or Institute Quantity Surveyors of Kenya.

Duties and responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade to this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail;

• Preparation of cost estimates;


• Bills of quantities;


• Monthly valuation on site


• Site re-measurement; and


• Preparation of variation orders.
