A leading National Agency is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and highly motivated Kenyan citizen to fill the following vacant position:


Manager, Human Resource & Administration


Grade 3


1 Position on Contract Terms


Reporting to the Head of Directorate, successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing efficient and effective management of the human resource function as well as general institutional administration; as guided by the relevant legislation and policies.


Key Responsibilities


(i) Coordinating the development and implementation of policies, strategies, and procedures for Human Resource Management and Administration;


(ii) Coordinating effective implementation with all legislative requirements to ensure compliance;


(iii) Providing human resource technical expertise to the Management Advisory Committee;


(iv) Coordinating the implementation of the staff recruitment, training and development, performance management, compensation and staff welfare programs: and


(v) Coordinating the provision of administrative support functions and services within the organization such as transport, records management, security and hospitality services.


(vi) Undertaking other duties related to human resource function within the institution


Qualifications & Skills Required


(i) At least ten (10) years relevant work experience five (5) years should be in management position:


(ii) A Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;


(iii) A Masters Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;


(iv) Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;


(v) Membership of the Institute of Human Resource Management and be in good standing;


(vi) Professional practicing certificate;


(vii) A certificate in management course lasting not less four (4) weeks cumulative from a recognized Institution;


(viii) Demonstrated results in work performance;


(ix) Proficiency in Computer Applications; and


(x) Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;


(xi) Personal attributes such as strategic thinking, analytical skills, counselling skills, excellent communication and reporting skills, good managerial skills and ability to lead teams, mentoring, coaching and leadership skills ,interpersonal and negotiation skills and a team player


Mandatory Requirements


Applicants MUST provide the following documents on application;


i) A Signed application letter


ii) A detailed CV indicating their current and previous employers, positions held, current and expected salary, level of education and names of at least three professional referees


iii) Copies of academic and professional certificates


iv) Copy of National Identification Card or Passport


v) Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations


vi) Valid Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)


vii) Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)


viii) Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and


ix) Current Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
