Position Title: Forensic Investigator, Electronic Fraud
1 Available Position

Division: Risk
Reporting to: Head, Security & Investigation
Position Scope: The job holder will be responsible for examining and investigating Digital and Electronic frauds affecting the bank, and will also be involved in incident response, acquisition, examination, preparation, and delivery of evidence as and when required in a court of law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct small, simple and complex fraud examinations touching on digital media to identify and document relevant findings.
- Produce reports using defined forensic policy, practices, and procedures.
- Investigations of cases of fraud perpetrated through electronic channels or devices.
- Should be able to acquire, collect, document, and preserve evidence from various forms of electronic media and equipment in accordance with bank’s policy, and the law.
- Testify to examination process, chain of custody and findings.
- Work closely with business by identifying risks in products that use digital platforms and offer relevant advice as may be required.
- Assist in conducting fraud analysis and MIS.
- Identify forensic requirements, research, test, analyze, and recommend solutions for management approval.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Personal Attributes:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Computer Forensics, Computer Security, Information Technology, Engineering or Business.
- Masters degree will be an added advantage
- Certification in the related field is advantageous, preferably Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) certification or CFE, CISA, CISM, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the Bank or related industry, three (3) of which must be in a forensic/digital and/or electronic fraud investigation role.
- Experience in internal audit and law enforcement processes
- Forensic work experience particularly on electronic fraud
- Proficient technical experience in troubleshooting personal computers
- An intermediate understanding of file system types and hard disk drive structures
- An entry level understanding of data collection and preservation principles
- Ability to conduct data mining, data analysis and reporting
- An understanding of networking concepts and systems
- Intermediate understanding of security appliances including but not limited to IDS, IPS, Firewall, and SIEM systems.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Ability to describe complex technical concepts and ideas in non-technical terms.
