Position Title: Senior ICT Change Manager

Reporting to: Head ICT Service Delivery


Position Scope: The overall responsibility of the role holder will be to provide direction and ensure that standardised methodologies and procedures are used for efficient management of change.


He /She will in addition develop and adopt best practice change management frameworks and guidelines for the unit.


Key Responsibilities:



  • To be responsible for best practices in change management and ensure that appropriate governance and controls are in place by managing and periodically reviewing change management policies and guidelines.

  • Responsible for coordinating and conducting the Change advisory board (CAB) engagement sessions to deliberate on changes in progress

  • To provide guidance, facilitate approval or rejection of changes in the ICT environment

  • Responsible for preparation of forecasts and evaluation of the actual impact of changes

  • Act as the ICT liaison for respective project teams and functional managers involved in various ICT related projects and changes

  • To evaluate and ensure readiness for change and be responsible for implementing or rejecting a change assignment

  • Provide support and management of necessary communication activities related to the changes within department and stakeholders

  • Develop, set and enforce quality assurance standards in all system change development initiatives.

  • Research on latest technologies and best practice to support continuous improvements in systems’ and applications’ quality and efficiency

  • Assessment of risks within the areas of responsibility and ensure that risks are mitigated and that changes deployed are in line with risk management policies of the bank;

  • Responsible for developing and issuing periodical change management Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports.

  • To support in developing, reviewing and maintaining ICT quality management policies and processes that drive improvements in performance and customer satisfaction.

  • To deliver effective testing outcomes against the pressures of time, cost and quality.

  • To manage the administration of testing scripts (including unit, integration, capacity, system, user acceptance and release) to maintain compatibility with existing applications, hardware and devices .

  • To manage the testing, identification and diagnosis of functionality errors and faults in systems, and programming code within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards.

  • Provide leadership and capacity building of the team assigned within Change Management.

  • To develop and maintain standard operational procedures for the change management unit.

  • To keep up with new technologies and proactively drive innovation with new ideas available.

  • Ensure adherence of the Bank policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations


Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Personal Attributes:



  • Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science or related field from a recognized University.

  • ITIL Certification is an added advantage

  • Project management certifications e.g. Prince 2, PMP is an added advantage

  • Exposure to Project Management

  • Five (5) years’ progressive experience in IT field within the financial Sector with three (3) in a change environment at a management level

  • Advanced level of knowledge and experience in change management;

  • Leadership & team management skills

  • Excellent analytical & problem solving skills

  • Good communication (oral, written and presentation) skills
