National Industrial Training Authority (NITA)

Recruitment of Trade Testing Assessors – 2019

The National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) is a regulatory body established under the Industrial Training Act, Cap 237 of the laws of Kenya.

The Authority is responsible for assessing Industrial training, testing occupational skills and awarding certificates including Government Trade Test Certificates among other functions.

NITA conducts trade testing in the months of April, August and December and other demand driven times, duration and locations every year.

Applications are hereby invited from qualified persons who are interested in serving as Assessors for Proficiency, Skills Upgrading and National Trade Testing qualification in the following areas;

Sections and Trade Areas

1. Clothing Technology: Soft furnishing, Machine Knitting


2. Cosmetology: Hair Dressing, Beauty Therapy


3. Information Communication Technology: Computer Operator


4. Hospitality: Food & Beverage — Production, Service

All applicants MUST be persons having unquestionable and irreproachable integrity, trained and experienced in their areas of specialization.

The selection shall be based on competency, professionalism, meritocracy and experience.

Persons working in the Industry are also encouraged to apply.

Applicants are required to fill the application in BLOCK LETTERS and attach a copy of their National Identification Card, copies of their academic and professional certificates (certified by a commissioner of Oaths) and other relevant supporting documents on or before 25th October 2019.
